The collaboration between Turkey's leading fuel oil and mineral oil company Petrol Ofisi and Turkey's pioneering retail firm Migros expands with even more success.

 

  • The pioneering 7/24 open MigrosJet concept initiated by Petrol Ofisi and Migros at Petrol Ofisi stations attracted great interest by the consumers.
  • Two leading brands determined the objective of this collaboration, which allows consumers to do their market shopping while buying fuel oil, as establishing 150 stores within two years.
  • Petrol Ofisi and Migros also started loyalty card programs jointly within the scope of this cooperation. With the partnership of Money Club and Positive Card, now Money points may also be used at Petrol Ofisi stations while buying fuel. Within the scope of the first campaign after the collaboration started, the consumers will be able to acquire 50 TL worth award points from both their fuel and market shoppings. The campaign will continue until November 19, 2014.

This new pioneering business model established by Turkey's leading fuel oil and mineral oil company Petrol Ofisi and Turkey's leading retail company Migros is planned to be extended further. This concept, which was realized in accordance with the preferences of the consumers to carry out their shopping quickly while they are on the road, has already reached 29 stores in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Antalya, Manisa and Adana. The number of MigrosJet stores, established as a result of the cooperation of two leading brands in their own industries, are estimated to reach 150 within the first two years.

Migros Ticaret A.Ş. General Manager Özgür Tort's assessment about the collaboration: "We have made our investments for the past 4 generations in line with the expectations of our customers." We tried to fulfill their needs, wherever services were expected. During the past 60 years, we have renewed ourselves in accordance with the perspectives of our customers and with their support. Today, we are moving forward towards the next 60 years with the new generation retail services. 7/24 MigrosJet stores are Turkey's first supermarket format created by Migros, the pioneer of new generation retail services. As people's lives are getting faster, we aim to fulfill the needs of our own people with the highest quality and in the fastest way possible. In order to perform this objective, we are establishing our stores within their life spaces. Thus, they are able to purchase anything they might need at home ranging from cheese to olives, from pasta to detergents, from the PO stations, where they come at an early hour of the morning or anytime late at night in order to purchase fuel with the most affordable Migros prices. Put differently, we are not only bringing services but we are also bringing the store to our customers.

This way, we are taking significant steps to perform the main objective of our Money Club program, which is to better acquaint ourselves with the customer and meet their demands. Thanks to the dual program provided by the joint partnership within the scope of the Loyalty Card, we are also accelerating these steps."

"We are providing time saving and convenience for our consumers"

OMV Petrol Ofisi A.Ş. Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors Gülsüm Azeri, in her declaration, stated that they have entered this partnership within the framework of Petrol Ofisi's strategy to offer the services and product range that provide time saving and convenience for the consumers.

In relation to the subject matter, Gülsüm Azeri said: "As Petrol Ofisi, we determine the requirements of our customers and we are working towards making life easier for them. Within the scope of the collaboration we have established with Migros, the MigrosJet stores opened for service within Petrol Ofisi stations allow our customers who come to our stations to complete their shopping without needing to spare additional time for grocery shopping. From now on, the consumers will be able to fulfill their daily grocery shopping needs at Petrol Ofisi stations, at a single location, with the wide product range, service and quality standard offered by Migros".

Money points will turn into fuel

The collaboration of Migros and Petrol Ofisi acquires a new dimension with the joint partnership for the loyalty card programs. Putting their signature to the most comprehensive loyalty program in Turkey in terms of customer potential and the number of transactions, Migros and Petrol Ofisi will offer advantages to 10 million active consumers for their fuel and market shopping expenditures. Within this framework Money Club will provide the opportunity to earn Positive Points, while Positive Cards will allow the customers to earn Money points at more than one thousand Migros, Tansaş, Macrocenter stores and Migros Online Market. In summary, the consumers will be able to benefit from the advantages offered by the two leading retail stores in Turkey.

First Campaign

Within the framework of the first campaign that will start after the merging of Money Club Card and Positive Card, those who spend 100 TL and above at contracted Petrol Ofisi stations at once to purchase fuel (fuel oil or LPG) and also those who spend 100 TL and above at once for their shopping at Migros, Tansaş, Macrocenter stores or Migros Online Market until November 19, 2014 will be able to earn points that are worth 20 TL. Those who make this transaction one more time, will earn an additional 30 TL worth of points and in total they will be able to earn 50 TL worth rewards. The consumers will be able to purchase fuel with all of this reward, while they will also be able to do grocery shopping with half of the reward and purchase fuel with the remaining half. The rewards earned as part of the campaign may be used until December 31, 2014.
